Checking of Geological Data for Major River Basins in Taiwan - Dajja and Da-an Basins.

In a series of projects within 2004-2006, a geological Geographic Information System (GGIS) for the major river basins in Taiwan was established with focus on geological features. Field checking was also carried out in the Touchien, Fongshan, and Jhuoshuei river basins to confirm and build in the data sets of geo-hazard, geologic outcrop, aero-photo interpretation, and geologic interpretation. This project continues the schemes of previous task; in addition to maintaining the GGIS and its user interfaces, field checking of geological strata along the river channel of Dajia and Da-an river basins were carried out to confirm and build up the relevant data sets in these two river basins.
